About Us

Hart Centre of Arts is an independent multi-disciplinary arts centre in Beijing,. It was founded by Laodan and Cindy Zeng. Our Mission is to build a platform for artistic exchange between Chinese artists and the world. From 2001 it started the contemporary art communication between Chinese artists and French artists. Our programs consist of presentations of experimental music, screenings independent narrative and documentary films, drama, modern dance, as well as the visual arts. We operate an intimate theatre space / screening room located in the 798 Arts District, this space is provided for the all the active artists. Using this space some artists from different countries and different filed start a new experimental arts project.

Our job:

a. Organize arts exchange events
b. Connect with different art organizations and foundations;
c. Provide a platform for artists in different field to present work.
d. Share and introduce Chinese artists to foreign art organization and arts information.
e. Produce and Present arts events

We hope:

Be a bridge between artists and the market; between Chinese artists and foreign artists; between Chinese contemporary Culture and the world.
To develop collaborations between Chinese artists and foreign artists to produce new works.
To find and develop opportunities for Chinese artists and introduce Chinese contemporary art to the world.

Financial support:

No government support. Working with embassies on various projects and the uniqueness of our programs in showcasing the best in contemporary Chinese artistry to survive.
